New and improved GCSE Drama resources and support available

Published: Monday 28 Nov 2022

We're pleased to say that over the next few years we're investing in our support services to make sure we're responding to teachers' needs. As part of this we've been reviewing our GCSE Drama resources and we're pleased to share what's been improved.

Here's a reminder of what’s available, and what's new and updated in 2022 for GCSE Drama.

  • Schemes of work (new in teaching resources)
  • Sample question papers and mark schemes (updated – available soon in assessment resources)
  • Marking guidance and exemplification including NEA (updated in assessment resources)
  • Community links (updated in teaching resources)
  • Curriculum Connect for AQA Drama: Q&A drop-in Clinic – Tuesday 6 December (register now)
  • Curriculum Connect for AQA Drama (new date planned for January 2023 – we'll email the registration link to teachers soon)
  • Reports on the exam June 2022 (new on Centre Services)
  • Feedback on the 2022 exams (Components 1, 2 and 3) course materials (new – coming soon on Centre Services)

All the information, support and resources needed to deliver our GCSE Drama specification is on our qualifications pages, and also in the Resources>Assessment and training tab on Centre Services.

The latest uploaded files can be found on Centre Services by clicking the 'A-Z' dropdown box and selecting 'Newest first'. For anyone logging in to Centre Services for the first time, you'll need to register, and the centre admin (usually your exams officer) will approve your access.

Professional development

We realise that time in the classroom is precious, but that as teachers' careers develop, the skills and knowledge needed may change.

We want to make it easier for teachers to access training, so we'll continue to provide all of our pre-scheduled training, free of charge (not including in-school CPD).

Use the 'Find a course' search on our professional development page to see what's on offer for Drama. We'll be adding more events in the spring and summer terms 2023.
