GCSE Music (8271) additional specification changes for 2022

We’ve made a further change to the replacement study piece for Area of Study 4 in the GCSE Music specification. The change affects first teaching in September 2020 for exams in summer 2022.

The summer 2020 AS and A-level Music Component 3 Composition pre-release materials (7271/C and 7272/C) are available in the secure key materials (SKM) area of our secure extranet e-AQA.

Ofqual changes for GCSE and A-level Music and Dance mean that for summer 2019 and onwards, we’re removing the requirement to award zero marks for performances in both subjects that do not reach the minimum (and/or maximum for dance) time
