AQA Unlocking Potential nominations deadline extended
Published: Friday 30 Oct 2020
We’ve extended the nominations window for AQA Unlocking Potential by another week so you now have until Sunday 8 November to nominate your students.
We know schools and teachers are working under unprecedented conditions and following some feedback from schools, we are giving them more time to nominate.
We also had some questions on how the programme will be delivered in the current climate. We’ve adapted the delivery this year so where we can’t offer face to face mentoring, we can still give students that one-on-one mentoring experience using video call sessions.
In addition, our partners the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust are also offering:
- Free ‘Covid & Me’ sessions for all schools participating in the programme. Delivered by world class athletes, these interactive sessions are aimed at helping pupils reflect on the pandemic, consider coping mechanisms and identify opportunities in the ‘new normal’. These are designed for small groups but can be adapted to be delivered to a bigger audience and this can be in person or virtually.
- A digital inclusion fund available to help students engage in the programme. This can contribute towards purchasing tablets and Wi-Fi enabled dongles for young people if they need to access the programme from home due to coronavirus restrictions.
- A well-being bag for students selected for the programme, with some goodies from the Trust.
So don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity for your students and your school.
The nominations window now closes at 23:59 on Sunday 8 November.
