AQA Unlocking Potential returns!
Published: Monday 5 Oct 2020
The nominations window for AQA Unlocking Potential is now open. You can nominate four students to take part in this inspiring mentoring programme pairing young people with elite athletes.
The programme, jointly run by AQA and the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust, is for students aged between 11 and 19 years.
AQA Unlocking Potential aims to help raise young people’s aspirations and expectations on future life goals, whether from school to Further Education, Further Education to Higher Education, or into training and employment. To see what previous students have got up to and what they and their teachers thought of the programme, visit our YouTube channel.
Give your students the life-changing opportunity to work with an elite athlete who has experience of overcoming obstacles and challenges.
The nominations window is open from now until 23:59 on Sunday 1 November 2020.
Nominate students.
Please note that the 2021 programme will start with a virtual launch event, but the Trust are planning for all athlete visits to be conducted in person and in school, so students will still receive face-to-face mentoring from their elite athlete.
However, where this may not be possible (for some or even all of the sessions) due to local or national coronavirus restrictions, we would ask that schools ensure they are able to facilitate mentoring sessions via Zoom.
