1	investigate the nature of one fragile environment, eg area(s) of tropical rainforest, area(s) affected by soil erosion or desertification, a UK natural landscape, an EU farming environment, and the effects of human activity on it	Student completed work

3	describe at least two strategies that people might use to manage this threatened environment	Student completed work
4	locate and record on a map outline the fragile environment concerned	Student completed work
5	collect information from two different sources, eg text, video, CD Rom and use this to produce a case study of this fragile environment.	Student completed work
