In successfully completing this unit, the Learner will have		Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to
1	feed fish with appropriate food, using correct amounts and at designated times on at least two occasions	Summary sheet
2	recognise the correct level of water in a fish tank and refill safely as necessary on at least two occasions	Summary sheet
3	monitor the temperature of the water against given guidelines, record the temperature readings and recognise safe limits, on at least two occasions	Summary sheet
4	change a water filter in the tank at least once	Summary sheet
5	use an under water gravel cleaner as per instruction at least once	Summary sheet
6	change 25% of the water in the tank weekly on at least one occasion	Summary sheet
7	clean algae off the inside of the tank using the correct procedure at least once	Summary sheet
shown knowledge of
8	four different signs of ill health in fish and how to treat these, eg fin rot, dropsy, cloudy eye, white spot.	Student completed work
