In successfully completing this unit, the Learner will have		Evidence needed
shown knowledge of
1	at least two appropriate places to source music	Summary sheet
2	rhythm and timing to ensure a vocal take is in time with the music	Summary sheet
3	at least two ways in which the microphone can affect a vocal performance	Summary sheet
demonstrated the ability to
4	source an instrumental either from an existing collection or the internet and import it into a music recording software	Summary sheet
5	learn the lyrics of own song or a song from a music library	Summary sheet
6	control breathing throughout a vocal performance or recording	Summary sheet
7	perform a main vocal take and add to the instrumental, eg singing, rapping or spoken word	Summary sheet
8	record an additional two takes to complement the main vocal, eg backing vocals, adlibs, doubling	Summary sheet
9	carry out at least two audio edits to improve the recording	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
