In successfully completing this unit, the Learner will have		Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to
1	measure and mark out, with assistance, the component dimensions and hole positions on the wood pieces that make up the wooden coastal boat	Summary sheet
2	drill the holes using a forstner bit as well as with a conventional drill bit	Summary sheet
3	saw using a tenon saw and a coping saw	Summary sheet
4	shape the bow using a combination square	Summary sheet
5	safely use a chisel to making a housing joint	Summary sheet
6	use a disc sander safely to smoothly finish all the rough saw cuts	Summary sheet
7	assemble all the components using PVA, pins and counter sink screws	Summary sheet
8	finish the coastal boat to a high standard using sandpaper	Summary sheet
