74173 VACUUMING A MOTOR VEHICLE INTERIOR AND WIPING DOWN THE TRIM

In successfully completing this unit, the Learner will have		Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to
1	select a workshop area suitable for vacuuming a motor vehicle interior and wiping down the trim	Summary sheet
2	collect various tools and equipment from the storage area including a vacuum cleaner, sponges and cloths	Summary sheet
3	avoid any damage to bodywork or interior trim by ensuring that all cloths are clean and the correct equipment is used	Summary sheet
4	vacuum the interior using the correct hoses and extension tools	Summary sheet
5	identify a variety of suitable agents for cleaning the interior trim, including suitable upholstery cleaners, polish and soft duster	Summary sheet
6	identify at least three markings on containers for dangerous chemicals including toxic, irritant and corrosive	Summary sheet
7	remove any stubborn stains and/or marks from interior trims using appropriate cleaning products	Summary sheet
8	return the equipment to the storage area	Summary sheet
