In successfully completing this unit, the Learner will have		Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to
1	switch on a mixing desk using the power supply unit	Summary sheet
2	identify the master fader and channel one fader and put them at minimum level	Summary sheet
3	identify the switch on the first channel strip labelled 'mic-line' and select 'mic'	Summary sheet
4	connect a microphone lead to a microphone and the mixing desk input for channel one, ensuring both ends of the lead are properly fitted	Summary sheet
5	place the microphone in front of a sound source	Summary sheet
6	move the master fader to zero mark and move the channel one fader until mixing desk display reaches the zero level.	Summary sheet
