In successfully completing this unit, the Learner will have		Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to
1	fill a portafilter with coffee and prepare the grounds	Summary sheet
2	purge the group head	Summary sheet
3	attach the portafilter to the group head	Summary sheet
4	place an appropriately sized cup under the spout of an espresso machine	Summary sheet
5	select the appropriate button	Summary sheet
6	serve the espresso to a customer	Summary sheet
7	detach the portafilter and empty the grounds into a bin provided and purge the group head	Summary sheet
8	clean the group head with a dry paper towel or brush	Summary sheet
9	place the portafilter back onto the group head	Summary sheet
10	describe at least one health and safety issue in making an espresso.	Summary sheet
