In successfully completing this unit, the Learner will have		Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to
1	participate in a discussion about the basic objectives of first aid and when first aid should be given	Summary sheet
2	identify the four objectives of first aid	Student completed work and/or summary sheet
3	identify the location of the first aid box in own household and/or an appropriate location	Student completed work and/or summary sheet
4	name at least three items from a first aid box and describe their uses	Student completed work and/or summary sheet
5	identify at least five medical conditions	Student completed work and/or summary sheet
6	identify at least five situations or conditions that may require first aid	Student completed work and/or summary sheet
7	identify how to administer basic first aid to at least two of the above conditions	Student completed work and/or summary sheet
8	recognise at least two situations when administering first aid is not appropriate.	Student completed work and/or summary sheet
