1	code the BBC micro:bit computer as a species counter using the species counter programme on the micro:bit website	Summary sheet
2	identify two plant or animal species to count in their chosen environment	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
3	use the micro:bit to count the number of these species within a set area for at least three different locations and record in a suitable table	Student completed work
4	produce a graph of their results	Student completed work
shown knowledge of
5	why the numbers of their species might vary between different locations they have investigated	Student completed work
