In successfully completing this unit, the Learner will have		Evidence needed
shown knowledge of
1	the key stages of the peer mentoring project within their organisation	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
2	the main recording systems used within the peer mentor project	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
3	the key policies and procedures applicable to the peer mentor project	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
4	risk assessments and why these are important in the peer mentor role	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
5	the main role of the coordinator in supporting the peer mentor and mentees	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
6	the key personal skills required to be a peer mentor, eg being punctual, maintaining confidentiality	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
demonstrated the ability to
7	identify the key ways they would plan to keep themselves safe as a peer mentor, eg letting the coordinator know when and where they are meeting their mentee	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
8	use a session recording form to create an action plan of at least two personal SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, time-bound) targets for the mentoring project	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
9	analyse and list four risks that could occur during a peer mentor session, outlining how they could minimise those risks.	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
