In successfully completing this unit, the Learner will have		Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to
1	read and compare the units used to measure length, including millimetres, centimetres, metres and kilometres, on at least six occasions	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
2	estimate and measure length on at least four occasions	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
3	select and use a suitable instrument to measure length on at least two occasions	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
4	measure length to the nearest labelled or unlabelled division in metric and imperial units on at least four occasions	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
shown knowledge of
5	the key language involved in measuring lengths	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
6	at least two instances where measuring lengths may be used in real life, including at work.	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
