In successfully completing this unit, the Learner will have		Evidence needed
experienced
1	reading at least three published film reviews and identifying the key elements	Summary sheet
2	researching a film and using this information to develop their own review	Summary sheet
demonstrated the ability to
3	identify the purpose of their film review, including considering the audience	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
4	summarise and analyse the plot and key themes of the film	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
5	analyse at least two of the castings and performances in the film	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
6	analyse the cinematography and editing of the film	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
7	analyse the use of sound and music in the film	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
8	make an evaluative conclusion about the film that conveys their personal response	Student completed work
9	write a film review that includes all the above elements	Student completed work
10	edit their review based on feedback from peers or tutors.	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
