121204 CHANGING THE DRINKING WATER OF AN ANIMAL WITH SUPERVISION

In successfully completing this unit, the Learner will have		Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to
1	safely and securely enter the animal enclosure on at least one occasion	Summary sheet
2	locate the drinking container of the animal	Summary sheet
3	identify whether the water and the container are clean or dirty	Summary sheet
4	pick up the container, safely and securely exit the enclosure and move to the designated emptying area	Summary sheet
5	empty the contents of the drinking container and clean it	Summary sheet
6	locate and operate the stopcock and the hose pipe or the pre-filled watering can	Summary sheet
7	direct the water into the bucket and fill to a designated level, then turn off the water supply using the stopcock if using one	Summary sheet
8	pick up and carry the drinking bucket back to its original position, entering the enclosure safely and securely	Summary sheet
9	exit the animal enclosure and ensure it is secure	Summary sheet
