1	read a 20th or 21st century fiction text of approximately 500 words	Summary sheet
2	match key structural features terminology to their definitions	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
3	identify at least three structural features used to create a specific effect on the reader	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
4	identify, for each of the features identified, how this is intended to affect the reader	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
5	write at least one paragraph which explains how a writer has used structural features to interest the reader, using quotations and subject terminology appropriately.	Student completed work
