In successfully completing this unit, the Learner will have		Evidence needed

1	recognise and name at least three small petrol driven machines and state the use of each in conservation	Summary sheet
2	select and wear the correct personal protective equipment when using and maintaining small petrol driven machines	Summary sheet
3	carry out the pre-start checks and adjustments on at least two of the small petrol driven machines	Summary sheet
4	check the immediate work area for hazards and take appropriate action if necessary	Summary sheet
5	use at least two small petrol driven machines correctly and safely, eg a petrol driven lawn mower	Summary sheet
6	leave the selected machines safe after use, and in a suitable condition for future use	Summary sheet
7	select the necessary hand tools and materials needed for any necessary maintenance	Summary sheet
8	use hand tools to carry out necessary maintenance on at least two small petrol driven machines in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions or under supervision	Summary sheet
