In successfully completing this unit, the Learner will have		Evidence needed
shown knowledge of
1	how different sized crochet hooks relate to the choice of wool and size of stitch	Summary sheet
demonstrated the ability to
2	choose an appropriate crochet hook and wool for a specified project	Summary sheet
3	start work using either the magic ring or chain-and-slip-stitch-to-join technique for a Granny square blanket or a foundation chain for straight crochet work	Summary sheet
4	continue working in rounds or rows to create a piece of work that is large enough for the specified use, eg baby blanket, bed cover	Summary sheet
5	check that the work lies flat and is square or rectangular in shape	Summary sheet
6	sew in the ends to complete and neaten the blanket.	Student completed work and/or photograph(s)
