In successfully completing this unit, the Learner will have		Evidence needed
shown knowledge of
1	how different sized crochet hooks relate to the choice of wool and size of stitch	Student completed work and/or summary sheet
demonstrated the ability to
2	choose an appropriate crochet hook and wool	Summary sheet
3	start work using either the magic ring or chain-and-slip-stitch-to-join technique	Summary sheet
4	complete a square of at least 10 cm per side or four rows of work using the Granny stitch pattern	Summary sheet
5	check that the work lies flat and is square in shape	Summary sheet
6	sew in the ends to complete and neaten the square.	Student completed work and/or photograph(s)
