In successfully completing this unit, the Learner will have		Evidence needed

2	follow instructions to sow given seeds to the correct depth and density	Summary sheet
3	water the seeds correctly at appropriate intervals until they successfully germinate	Summary sheet

5	take and prepare cuttings of one plant	Summary sheet
6	plant the cuttings at the edge of a pot and water them at given intervals until they root	Summary sheet
7	separate the seedlings or cuttings from their existing pots and successfully transplant the seedlings or cuttings to new pots, holding them by the leaf to avoid the stem	Summary sheet
8	maintain the seedlings or cuttings, eg by watering, until they become viable plants	Summary sheet
9	give three examples of what types of plant need to be grown in a polytunnel and three examples of what types of plant need to be grown outside	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
