In successfully completing this unit, the Learner will have		Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to
1	use their knowledge of the alphabet to place given words in alphabetical order, including words with the same starting letter	Summary sheet
2	use their knowledge of plural spelling rules to correctly write at least three plural nouns, eg babies, hours, glasses	Student completed work
3	make accurate use of basic punctuation, ie capital letters, full stops, questions marks, when writing a sentence or short text	Student completed work
4	complete a basic form providing their personal details, ie name, address, date of birth	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
5	compose simple sentences to provide information for at least two everyday scenarios, eg an account of their weekend, an invitation, a review	Student completed work
6	accurately use conjunctions to compose a minimum of two simple compound sentences	Student completed work
7	include adjectives within at least two sentences to provide relevant additional detail	Student completed work
8	identify the correct spelling patterns within given high frequency words.	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
