117186 USING MOSAICS TO DECORATE A COASTER

In successfully completing this unit, the Learner will have		Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to
1	select from a given range the desired colours of tiles to be used in the design	Summary sheet
2	prepare the tiles ready for use	Summary sheet
3	lay the tiles out in the required design	Summary sheet
4	apply tile cement to the underside of the tiles	Summary sheet
5	lay the cemented tiles in position on the coaster	Summary sheet
6	continue adding the tiles until the design is complete	Summary sheet
7	leave the coaster to dry	Summary sheet
8	smooth grout over the coaster to fill in the gaps between the tiles	Summary sheet
9	clean up the grout with a damp sponge and allow it to dry	Summary sheet
10	polish the finished surface of the coaster.	Summary sheet
