In successfully completing this unit, the Learner will have		Evidence needed
shown knowledge of
1	the role of a DJ	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
2	the main different functions of DJing	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
3	at least two different genres of electronic music and their associated styles	Summary sheet
4	how many beats there are in a bar of music and how dance music is constructed	Summary sheet
demonstrated the ability to
5	set up the equipment, including software, for a digital DJ set	Summary sheet
6	load two songs onto the decks	Summary sheet
7	change the tempo or BPM (beats per minute) and match both songs	Summary sheet
8	play the songs alongside each other and ensure they are played on the first beat of a bar	Summary sheet
9	use the crossfader to mix between two songs that are beatmatched	Summary sheet
10	create and record a DJ mix that includes five songs.	Student completed work
