In successfully completing this unit, the Learner will have		Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to
1	wash and condition the manikin or client's hair	Summary sheet
2	make a centre parting, working from the forehead towards the crown, continuing down to the nape of the neck then taking diagonal partings from the centre out to the bottom of the ear	Summary sheet
3	cut the guideline, taking only the desired amount off the hair, starting at the crown at a 90 degree angle	Summary sheet
4	continue to bring down small sections of hair and cut to the guideline, working above the ear, checking that the length of each side is equal	Summary sheet
5	continue bringing down layers and cutting to the guideline, until all layers have been cut	Summary sheet
6	use a hairdryer to finish the hair to a suitable style	Summary sheet
7	use two finishing products	Summary sheet
8	follow health and safety procedures at all times.	Summary sheet
