In successfully completing this unit, the Learner will have		Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to
1	research designs and construction methods for an aluminium welded project	Summary sheet
2	choose a design and sketch it on paper	Student completed work
3	transfer the sketch to a workable scaled drawing with dimensions	Student completed work
4	produce any jigs needed to aid accurate construction of the project	Summary sheet
5	cut all the parts to be welded to size and prepare them for welding	Summary sheet
6	safely weld together all the parts needed to produce the product	Summary sheet
7	clean any welded areas after the welding process and protect any bare metal if desired	Summary sheet
8	complete the project with any other elements from the design brief	Student completed work and/or photograph(s)
shown knowledge of

10	the main safety aspects of using a TIG welder and three important safety measures to be taken when using the welder	Summary sheet
