In successfully completing this unit, the Learner will have		Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to
1	disassemble a pallet, removing all the fixings and sanding the rough sawn finish off the edges	Summary sheet
2	examine the existing project examples and plans to decide which item of garden furniture to construct	Summary sheet
3	order the pallet slats into size and dimension order	Summary sheet
4	cross reference these sizes with the plan, to ensure they are sufficient to make the chosen item	Summary sheet
5	cut the slats to the required length, including any shaping or drilling of holes, in order to produce all the component parts	Summary sheet
6	construct the item using the appropriate tools and fixing devices, eg screws, glue, nails	Summary sheet
7	use an appropriate outdoor varnish or stain to protect the finished item	Photograph(s)
