In successfully completing this unit, the Learner will have		Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to
1	correctly spell at least 20 tier two words that are commonly used in daily life, eg required, fortunate, essential, complication	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
2	present at least one piece of information in a logical sequence in order to instruct another person	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
3	identify the main points and ideas and how they are presented in at least three different types of texts, eg leaflets, reports or short articles	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
4	communicate effectively on at least two occasions, using speaking, listening and body language skills to take the situation, audience and location into account	Summary sheet
5	complete a generic application form in block capital letters, showing a clear understanding of the instructions and requests within the form	Student completed work
