In successfully completing this unit, the Learner will have		Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to
1	select and put on appropriate safety clothing, eg overall, gloves	Summary sheet
2	walk safely from school to the allotment	Summary sheet
3	use at least three different gardening tools safely	Summary sheet
4	use gardening tools to clear a growing area, ie dig out the weeds, turn the soil over	Summary sheet
5	prepare the growing area for planting	Summary sheet
6	plant seeds or seedlings into the growing area	Summary sheet
7	maintain the allotment on a weekly basis for at least six weeks.	Summary sheet
