In successfully completing this unit, the Learner will have		Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to
1	remove all weeds from a plot of land, both with a hoe or a trowel and by hand	Summary sheet
2	dispose of the removed weeds appropriately	Summary sheet
3	use a spade to dig over and break up the soil	Summary sheet
4	use a rake to level the plot of land	Summary sheet
5	work safely with the appropriate gardening tools in a horticultural environment	Summary sheet
6	provide three examples of safe working practices and adhere to them when working around the garden	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
7	use a lawn mower independently and safely	Summary sheet
