In successfully completing this unit, the Learner will have		Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to
1	decide which room the flooring will be laid in	Summary sheet
2	remove the existing flooring and clean the area ready for work	Summary sheet and/or photograph(s)
3	ensure they have the correct equipment for the task	Summary sheet
4	lay and secure the underlay to the area of flooring to be covered	Summary sheet and/or photograph(s)
5	safely use tools, including an electric jigsaw, to cut and measure the pieces	Summary sheet
6	lay the laminate, carefully ensuring each piece is connected to the next, until the floor has been covered	Photograph(s)
7	clean the work area on completion.	Summary sheet
