1	make a choice to select the material or fabric to be used for the clothing item	Summary sheet
2	make a choice to select the thread colour	Summary sheet
3	mark out a pattern on fabric, eg using chalk and a template	Photograph(s) and/or summary sheet
4	use scissors to cut out a pattern for a simple garment	Summary sheet
5	insert dressmaking pins as required	Summary sheet
6	use an electric sewing machine to sew a simple garment	Student completed work and/or photograph(s)
7	add a decoration or a fastening.	Student completed work and/or photograph(s)
