In successfully completing this unit, the Learner will have		Evidence needed

1	identify at least five marketable products that can be harvested from woodland	Summary sheet
2	maintain a safe working area in a previously unmanaged section of woodland, including managing risks to the public and site users by producing specific risk assessments	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
3	maintain and use at least two forestry tools and items of equipment in line with the health and safety guidelines	Summary sheet
4	identify at least two diseased or damaged trees and apply the correct felling methods to those which they have the permission and authority to process	Summary sheet
5	coppice and thin specific areas using the appropriate equipment and at least two approved techniques	Summary sheet
6	build a shelter for outdoor cooking, demonstrating awareness of safe fire management principles	Summary sheet
