1	recall the main events in the newspaper report 'Teen dies in farm accident'	Student completed work
2	read and understand at least two simple instructions and directions relating to a given text	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
3	read and understand a minimum of five high frequency words and words with common spelling patterns	Summary sheet
4	use their knowledge of alphabetical order to locate information on at least two occasions.	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
