1	participating in a conversation about the importance of dead hedges for wildlife, as a barrier, for flood defence and as a way of recycling garden waste	Summary sheet

3	participating in a discussion about the appropriate tools for creating a dead hedge	Summary sheet
demonstrated the ability to
4	use appropriate tools to clear an area for the hedge	Summary sheet
5	use a bow saw, with assistance, to cut at least two stakes to the desired height	Summary sheet
6	use a mattock or axe, with assistance, to create points at one end of at least two stakes	Summary sheet
7	work in a team to install the stakes in two rows at an appropriate distance apart, using a wrecking bar or lump hammer	Summary sheet
8	infill the space between the two rows using branches, twigs and by adding smaller stakes to strengthen the hedge where required	Summary sheet
9	tie off the stakes using wire once the hedge has reached the appropriate height	Photograph(s)
