A-level Art and Design: Teacher standardisation 2024/2025 (Twilight)
Course summary
Twilight sessions for teacher standardisation are designed to provide more flexibility and support. These sessions will run in the same format as our daytime sessions, ensuring comprehensive standardisation for the specification (7201-7206) using exhibitions of work for A-level Art and Design covering all titles and the full ability range.
Benefits of the twilight sessions include:
- Increased capacity: Each twilight session can now accommodate up to four teachers from your school/college, in addition to the standard two places in the daytime sessions. This means more of you can participate and benefit from the valuable training.
- Support for busy schedules: We understand that taking time out of school can be challenging, especially for multiple members of your department. Therefore, we're offering support for those who are unable to attend the daytime sessions. Our twilight sessions provide a convenient option to ensure no teacher misses out on this crucial opportunity.

Course description
Registration will start 15 minutes before the session and will begin with a short briefing. You will then be given the opportunity to view A-level practical work from each title and carry out a marking exercise using the marking criteria found within the specification. Feedback on A-level marks will be given before the end of the session.

Suitable for
- Schools/colleges whose A-level marks were significantly adjusted by AQA the previous year
- Schools/colleges offering the A-level specification for the first time
- Teachers wishing to attend to familiarise with the standards for the coming year
- Teachers responsible for marking work in schools/colleges
